The Cricket Association of Bengal celebrated the 80th Independence Day today at the Club House premises of the iconic Eden Gardens.

The national flag was hoisted by CAB President Sourav Ganguly along with West Bengal Youth Services and Sports and Consumer Affairs Minister Dr. Indranil Khan, Labour and Transport Minister Arjun Singh, Agricultural Marketing and MSME & Textile Minister of State Ashoke Dinda.

Also present for the occasion were other current office bearers CAB Vice President Mr Nitish Ranjan Dutta, CAB Secretary Mr Bablu Kolay, CAB Treasurer Mr Sanjay Das, former CAB Presidents Mr Snehasish Ganguly, Mr Avishek Dalmiya along with other former office bearers, current chairperson of various CAB committees, Apex Council members, former international cricketers, Bengal Senior Men's team head coach Laxmi Ratan Shukla, CAB members and officials.

Today, CAB also paid tribute to Dr B.C. Roy by garlanding his statue and offering tribute.
